I believe in keeping things transparent and straightforward, including how your personal information is handled. Number Four Marketing collects only the information reasonably necessary to provide services, sell digital products, communicate with customers and subscribers, and operate the business.

1. The Data I Collect

Depending on how you interact with Number Four Marketing, I may collect:

3. Email Mailing Lists and Kit

Number Four Marketing uses Kit as its email marketing platform.

If you choose to subscribe to Marketing Mischief Club or Audience Matters, the information you provide through the relevant sign-up form will be processed and stored using Kit so that I can send you the emails you have requested.

Your subscription preferences are used to help ensure you receive communications relevant to the list you joined.

Where consent is the lawful basis for email marketing, you can withdraw that consent at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link included in emails sent through Kit.

Kit may process subscriber information outside the UK. Kit states that it uses recognised safeguards for international data transfers, including the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and/or contractual safeguards such as the International Data Transfer Agreement.

4. Digital Products and Payhip

Number Four Marketing uses Payhip to sell and deliver digital products.

When you purchase a product through the Number Four Marketing Payhip store, Payhip may collect and process information required to complete and fulfil your order, including your name, email address and information relating to your purchase.

Number Four Marketing may receive customer and order information from Payhip where necessary to:

Payment card information is handled securely by the relevant payment processor. Number Four Marketing does not receive or store your full payment card details.

Purchasing a product does not automatically mean you have consented to receive marketing emails from Number Four Marketing. Where marketing consent is requested, this will be made clear separately.

5. Other Services Used

Information submitted as part of consultancy enquiries and projects may be securely processed and stored using Google Workspace services.

Payments may also be processed securely through Stripe. Number Four Marketing does not store or have access to your full payment card details.

These third-party services process information in accordance with their own privacy policies and applicable data-protection requirements.

6. Client and Audience Data

Number Four Marketing provides Audience Journey Assessments and other consultancy services.

Unless specifically agreed as part of a separate project, I do not require access to identifiable personal information belonging to your customers, subscribers, donors, visitors or audience members in order to undertake an Audience Journey Assessment.

Where aggregated, anonymised or non-identifiable audience information is provided to support consultancy work, it will be used only for the purposes of the agreed project.

If a future project requires Number Four Marketing to process personal data on behalf of a client, the appropriate data-protection arrangements will be agreed separately before that processing takes place.

7. How Long I Keep Your Information

I retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected and to meet applicable legal, tax and accounting requirements.

Email subscriber information is retained while you remain subscribed, subject to any information that may need to be retained for legitimate legal or compliance purposes.

Purchase and transaction records may be retained where required for accounting, tax, legal or business-record purposes.
